Arbonne

I would love to make Arbonne my only source of income. However after only a month of trying my hardest I think I know the truth is. I am going to continue for two more months. I have 2 more parties for this month and 1 party each for June and May. Hopefully I can book a few more it would be nice to bring home an extra $200 a month, but we will see.

Short post tonight.

Bath Time

Alyssa is usually a well tempered easy going baby. But when she throws a fit, watch out! The fits have been coming more and more lately as she is trying to express herself more and more. Here are a few examples:

Last night when bath time came she was one unhappy camper. We put her in the tub and she tried to throw herself down only to realize that made her face go in the water. Luckily for her, her swim lessons kicked in and she flipped over to her back and flopped down again in a back float position. Chris and I were laughing so hard, but she didn't think it was funny.

Tonight on a walk she got tired of walking and just sat down on the sidewalk and watched us walk away. The "Good-Bye I'm leaving thing" doesn't work with her yet. She just waves at you as you walk off.

She loves to undress herself. Today I thought I had dressed her perfectly. I put her in a dress that snaps between the legs with tights underneath the snaps. When I went to pick her up today, she had her arms through the head hole and was wearing the dress around her waist. The daycare teacher said "I thought you dressed her so she couldn't undress herself" I said I thought I had too but obviously I was wrong.

But then I went to put her to bed tonight and she snuggled into my shoulder and laid there until I put her to bed. I couldn't ask for a better baby!

Birthday

I had a wonderful birthday weekend. Yesterday we started out the day with swimming lessons where Alyssa thought she was fish. She would swim back and forth to between Chris and I under the water 7 or 8 times before she wanted to do something else.
She then slept most of the way down to the Lake. At the lake she had a blast playing on the boat and "driving" the boat with grandpa. Michele had fixed a great meal and we went for a wonderful boat ride.
We stayed until 7 then Alyssa slept the whole way home.

Today we cleaned and cooked the meals for the week then we took Alyssa to the park by our old house were she went down the slide over and over. We then went out to dinner with Chris's parents.
It was a great birthday weekend. I can't believe I'm 26!

Random Thoughts

I am so tired. I want to just lay down and fall asleep right now. The good thing is I know that the tiredness I feel now is only half of what I felt 2 weeks ago.
I am still loving my new job and I can't believe how much I like it. There is one teacher that is a little on the bitter side, but no place can be perfect right?!
I was going to write about something else but now I can't remember!!
We are building a deck I'm so excited because next month I can sit outside at night and enjoy the nice weather.
Alyssa has been a total crab this week and I think she has an ear infection. I am going to call the doctor to make an appointment to get her ears checked tomorrow.
I get to go and spend the day at the park tomorrow.

Okay I think that is enough updates for tonight. OHH my birthday is in 4 days!!

Weekend

This weekend was busy but so much fun at the same time. Yesterday we went to Alyssa's much awaited doctor's appointment. She was diagnosed with Asthma. This was not a huge surprise and Chris and I were not upset since we figured it was the case anyways. He gave us a treatment plan to follow and a visit with him in 4 weeks to follow up.
After we left the doctor we came home and I had to leave for an Arbonne Party. Chris and Alyssa enjoyed time out in the yard digging up bushes we did not want anymore. Then when I came home we all went to the park.
Today we went to church and then went to Home Depot for flowers and bushes. We came home and planted them in our yard. It looks good and hopefully now we can move on to building the deck we want out back.
It was a really good weekend and for once in a long while I'm not worried about what Monday will bring!

First Day

Today was my first day of my new job. This morning was spent filling out paper work. Whenever you start a new job it always feels like you are signing your life away. I think I signed about 60 pieces of paper.
Then I spent the afternoon in a pre-k classroom. There was only 9 kids today (they are usually 17). I enjoyed getting to know the kids and it was such a laid back environment. They even had a sign hanging up that said "Welcome Shannon". It was nice to see people so welcoming. Tomorrow I will work in another pre-k class.
As we were leaving the teacher I worked with today said "Wow I'm tired". I thought Wow I could get used to this, I didn't get screamed at or have to restrain any kids.

On another note, Alyssa is having a hard time breathing again. She is up to 4 breathing treatments a day and back to more meds to try to help her. I'm so glad that we go to the doctor Saturday to see what he has to say.

Happy Easter

Today was Alyssa's second Easter however it was her first one that she was able to participate. She was able to carry her Easter basket around this morning and find eggs to put in her basket. She also got some outfits, puzzle, a movie and a sea horse from family.
We went to church and had another enjoyable service. Alyssa came home and then took a nap while I fixed mashed potatoes and gravy.
When she woke up we went over to Judy and Chas' house and had an Easter meal and went searching for eggs in their yard.
It was a good Easter and now on to the next Holiday, fourth of July.
